Why now
Slab prices went up. Remnant searches came back.
The long version of the argument, with sources. Every number on this page comes from something you can check: Google Trends, United States, pulled September 2026; our own audit of 237 shop websites; and our price list. Nothing is projected.
The market turned in 2026
Countertop searches fell for three years. Remnant searches fell harder, and are coming back faster.
Searches for granite remnants this year against last. Granite countertops over the same months: +2%.
Kitchen countertop searches, the whole market. Quartz +5%, porcelain +12%.
"Granite remnants near me" is the top remnant search and has grown +80% in five years.
Quartz searches as a share of granite searches, up from 89% in 2022. Your quartz offcuts are the ones people are starting to look for.

Each line is indexed to its own January to August 2022. Every year is the same months, because remnant searches peak in winter and a calendar-year figure would fake a rise.
Granite remnants fell about twice as hard as granite countertops from 2022 to 2025 and are recovering seven times faster this year. Remnant demand is the part of your market that moves first.
* Quartz and countertop remnants roughly tripled off a low base in 2026. Both terms sit near Google's reporting floor most weeks, so the direction is reliable and the size is not. We do not quote a percentage for them.
Remnant searches are about 1.5% of countertop searches. Small next to the whole market, and every one of them is a buyer looking for a deal, which is why they came back first when prices rose.

What people type
They are searching for you by name. The name is "near me".
The top related search for granite remnants is "granite remnants near me", five times the next one, and it has grown +80% in five years. A homeowner with a vanity to do is on a phone looking for the closest shop with a piece the right size. Today that search returns the shops that put their remnants online, and in most towns that is nobody.

Relative to the top query. "Near me" and "for sale" lead every remnant term we checked.
Three in four shops show nothing. The first one in town to show up owns the search.
We opened 237 countertop shop websites across Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware and looked for remnants. Most had nothing. Of the few with a list, most had it inside a widget with no page per piece, which is invisible to a search engine.
That is the opening. A search for remnants in your town has almost no competition, and the shop that fills it first keeps it.
Tariffs did the marketing. You just need to be findable.

Show no remnants online at all. Not a page, not a photo, not a list.
Have a system a customer can search. The rest are a phone call and a drive.
How it gets found
Your remnants become pages, not a box on a page.
Every piece is its own page
Each remnant on your storefront gets a page with the photo, the size, the material and an in-stock listing in the structured data Google reads. Sell it and the page goes with it.
Pages built for the way people search
Once you carry enough of a material, your storefront adds a page for it, built for searches like quartz remnants in your town. Your sitemap lists every page and every piece, and Google is pointed at it.
Also on Find Remnants
Listed shops appear on findremnants.com, our public marketplace for homeowners, with city and material pages of its own. A customer who has never heard of your shop finds your piece.
And on the site you already have
One line of HTML puts the same live grid on your existing website. It updates as pieces sell. Inventory tools that draw pieces inside a box on one page give Google nothing to rank, because the pieces have no page of their own.
See it running: a live storefront and the widget on a real site.
The math
One vanity a month pays for the whole thing.
Shop is $125 a month for up to 250 active remnants: $0.50 per piece per month at the cap. Yard is $200 a month, unlimited, and adds the widget for your own site, customer selections and the shop network. Unlimited users on both. Sold pieces never count against you, there is no contract, and you cancel whenever.
The stone was paid for by the job it came off. Every remnant sale is recovered money, and the subscription is the only cost against it.
Every plan detail is on the pricing page, and you can try the product yourself without booking anything.
Questions shops ask on the first visit
- How long does setup take?
- Most shops are live the same week. You bulk upload the list you already keep, or start with the A-frame that costs you the most time to search, and the rest fills in as pieces come off jobs. There is no photo day and no catch-up project.
- Does it work with our existing website?
- Yes. You get your own storefront at yourshop.remnantflow.com, and one line of HTML puts the same live grid on the site you already have. It updates automatically as pieces sell.
- Do we have to photograph everything before we start?
- No. A piece with sizes and no photo is still findable by your own floor from day one, and you choose whether those pieces are included when you share with other shops.
- Are there contracts?
- No. Simple monthly billing. Pay by card, cancel whenever.
- How many users can we add?
- Unlimited, on every tier. Pricing scales with your inventory, never your headcount. We set your team's accounts up with you during onboarding.
That is the whole argument. To see it on your own stock, fifteen minutes is enough: bring the list you already keep and we will tell you which plan you need. Most shops are live the same week.
